    1. Did you send him anything? It's sad how many women (and men too) are taken advantage of by these creeps.

  3. I've seen this profile make comments on public pages, usually towards older women, to be friends with him. After reporting to Facebook they did not take it down.

  5. Hi all, I get "Friend" invitations on FB almost every day. First, let me tell you: anytime you get an invitation on FB from an unknown man it's likely a Nigerian catfish. Here are dead giveaways: they are all ~50-ish and widowed. They're either doctors or soldiers. They have no personal info and no friends on FB (except for you). They call you "dear" which makes me nauseous. I usually delete them but sometimes I like to play around with them. It's fun to see them try to escape their own lies. For example, this week a "Lieutenant" who's been mentioned on this site wrote me and said he was from Alexandria VA. I told him I lived nearby and asked if he could meet for coffee this weekend. Oops-his story changed--he was in Iraq on a peacekeeping mission. He was going to retire on June 30th so I asked him if I could pick him up at the airport and asked him his flight arrangements. Oops-turns out his plans were sensitive and couldn't be shared. For two days I had fun until I got bored and dropped the bomb on him and sent him a picture of my "other boyfriend" which was in fact a picture of him taken in Nigeria. Today I got another guy who in his haste to rip some victim off put his birthdate as Dec 2006. I told him he was very handsome and I could fall in love with his beautiful blue eyes, but that since he was only 14, I had to let him go so he could meet some nice freshman at his high school. Another important point: these losers all try and get you to get on an app called "hangout" or "groups". Don't do it!! Don't download anything they give you. FB does have some protection against these so occasionally their messages will just disappear without a trace. The other apps have no such protection. Good luck

    1. How very sad that all we do here is wasted.
' I like to play around with them. It's fun ' .. we try for them to get nobody to talk to.. we can't manage that because women love them. We here all the time... 'oh but he was good, he knew just what to say'.... how do you think that happens..?? Practice.. they get practice from women like you. You pointed out his wrong DOB.. he won't do that again.
Flight arrangements.. all can be googled to make him sounds more convincing next. time
ALL PRACTICE AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO KEEP GOING.. the next one they talk to their chat will be refined and the victim may not know.

Oh and the important point... on Hangouts.. I see you have just become a recent visitor to us and have not researched ALL we say on all our platforms.

I'm sorry we have been doing this for years and give ALL of the advice you give in one sentence. If you truly cared about victims you would NOT play with scammers. I'm not impressed with your boasting.

Scammers love women like you. They are also good hackers so one day your playing may get your burnt.

BUT we work towards these scumbags getting silence and nobody to talk to... I wonder why this is so impossible. Research more Mary... your message here shows great innocence and simplicity.
I won't say more... I can't be as honest I want to be with you.

    2. Nailed it! Always ex-military, and widowed. I have tried reporting to facebook also but they won't do anything about it. They're too busy harassing the honest people.

    3. I just got caught up in the same thing. He was serving in Afghanistan and would be coming home soon. Supposedly his camp was attacked by bandits. He needed to get his portfolio to me. A Diplomat was to contact me. Then came $2500 to get this to me. He loved me too after a few days. He was also widowed 13 when he lost his wife and son. I feel for his charm since I've been widowed for 19 years. It really hurts when you're lonely and you fall for this. Makes you hurt.

  9. My mother has given this scammer around 10 thousand. I am still trying to convince her he is not real but he keeps on and on with sob story after sob story. He claims he is William Garrett....Syria mission...shot at and needs help with hospital bill....I tried reasoning with her but she claimed I was supporting Al Queda if I reported him because he is on a secret mission. She was never insane before but now she is off her freaking mind. He uses 2 emails...garrettwilliams.us.army09@gmail.com and wg7552658@gmail.com. She needs to stop but short of going to court...she is 79...I cannot stop her from believing in him.

    1. then get out of the scam, because it is a scam and Nigerians don't stop, you have to stop them. But tell me, this is a huge website we have made here... PROOF OF SCAMMERS AND WHAT THEY DO.... we are on FB/.IG Youtube and please tell me why when a Nigerian tells you 'wife' and ;'am real babe' you believe them with no proof.
SHOULD NOT BE THIS EASY TO SCAM WOMEN... calling you WIFE is an insult.... NOW PLEASE GET OUT OF THE SCAM AND AWAY FROM YOUR NIGERIANS ... AND Give Mr Garrett and his wife some respect. They don't ask to have this happen in their lives.
