  1. This guy above claiming to be Thomas 'Matty' Kingsley contacted me in May, I am still on 'hangouts' and chat with him. I am pretty certain that its fake, can anyone verify for certain for me? He said he is in Africa right now in the Army, but will be discharged soon and wanting to come visit me.

    1. NOBODY that contacts you and says military are real... they are not allowed to do it and they don't do it. If he is saying where he is deployed in real life

a soldier could never tell where he is deployed.

Locations the Army are can easily be checked on the internet and they are not in Nigeria or Ghana which is where your scammer will be. Soldiers are 'discharged' at the end of their service ... they are deployed as a unit and return to the US as a unit and if he was to retire it would be from there but not at this age.

Coming to visit you will cost you a lot of money.... you will be paying African criminals.

NEVER GO TO HANGOUTS.. it is the place where scammers gather their victims when they have hunted them in other places. If you can, get off Hangouts, you will be just alwys contacted by scammers there. He will use honey, baby.. and more so they don't need remember your name.. so much easier to scam more at once.

Currently the real Kingsley is not deployed.

    2. He was using these pictures and going by the name Denise. When I told him that is a woman's name he changed it to "Mattew" Kingsley. I told him he spelled his "name" wrong but he wasn't able to change it due to Facebook's policy on only changing your name once every so often. When I asked where in Nigeria he was (I made an educated guess he was there) he said he was a USA soldier stationed there! when I told him we don't have soldiers in Nigeria he said he had deployed to Kuwait within the day it took for him to reply to my message. I said we aren't sending soldiers to Kuwait we are pulling out of Kuwait if we have any left there at all. He said he was from Pennsylvania. My family is from there, as well as in the USA military, i asked him where in PA and he didn't answer. He said he will be in Iran soon! Dun dun dunnnn! Someone's been watching the news! At that point I sent him a link to this page and blocked him and reported him to Facebook as not the man in the photos. The man in the photos is not deployed, he is currently in the USA, where most of our troops are right now. He probably has a girlfriend or boyfriend and doesn't want your ass. Don't fall for these Nigeria cafe boys taking advantage of your embarassing desperation. They call you "the big fool" every time you send money. Does not matter if they say they are from the FBI IRS CIA Mossad etc it is NOT TRUE do not send money unless they send a cop to your house with a summons to a court date in the United States. I repeat, do not send money for ANY REASON. Even a tiny bit of money. You look like a fool sending a 19 year old Nigerian $200. Tell them they must work for their money the way you had to work for yours. Don't be a fool. Be a smart person. Do. Not. Send. Money. For. ANY. Reason. ✌

    5. I allow good sound advice.. but not any hurtful criticism, there are good reasons people fall for scams at that point in their lives. Those that can't understand, they have to accept and support ! Yes he is in the US and yes he is happily settled with a girlfriend ! So next time you say 'you look a fool'.. remember your own words.. YOU told the scammer he had a girl's name so he changed it. YOU told him he had spelt it wrong, so he changed it !
So ! maybe a little more advice and a lot less name calling... giving scammers the help by calling them on their mistakes is a very foolish thing to do. Teaches them to do it better next time.

The long paragraphs are common and just copy and paste he has for everyone !

  6. I've been talking to him as Dave Kingsley off of POF. Claims to be in Afghanistan now. Started off great with all the paragraphs for sure. Then needed money to video chat. I said no. Then he needed money to get food. I asked for his APO to mail him food. Today, he doesn't have any music on his phone and he his sad. So he needs money. But the picture he sent was of him eating at a drive thru in Afghanistan. LOL I was already suspicious. Now I will come look at this site too. Thank you for being here wish I had found you 2 weeks ago.

  9. I almost just got scammed by a guy like this. I had been talking to him for weeks, and from the begining he seemed a bit off. He was following 50 people and had only like 15 followers plus no posts. So I kept with it to see how far it went. I wasTwas stupid and talked about some personal things. Then he asked me to send my cash app. But I was smart enough to ask for a photo of himself doing a certain pose (peace sign, silly face) but he couldn't do it. I reverse image searched the pic he sent of "himseld" and stumbled upon the real guys insta page. Did a bit of digging, and found this website, so I called the guy out for it.
It's really awful that people like this exist, that are willing to take advantage of people who are desperate for any sort of help. I was so lucky I didn't wind up getting scammed, as I am already in a bad situation. When I called him out he blocked me on all forms of social media and deleted all of our chatlogs on the website he was using. He had a different number than the one listed though and was using some app called Telegram.

    1. it is awful these people exist BUT YOU KNEW IT WAS FAKE AND CARRIED ON... we can't fight scammers because women will NOT stop talking to them. You told him personal things, you chatted about your life and gave him good scam chatting practice.
WE HAVE TO GET WOMEN TO STOP TALKING TO SCAMMERS AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THAT.

  10. He is now using the the name Ronnie Douglas. He message me last night on Grindr and we chatted for hours before he stopped. He never asked for money but wants to come and visit me in Australia.he asked me to only talk to him from now on and got upset and angry when I told him no. He sent me the photo above and I questioned the different names came up with an excuse. However what is most concerning to me is that this person has access to personal pictures of Kinglsey which he may not want people to see. You might want to let him know so he can at least protect his privacy.

  13. I talked to him on whatsapp. I was skeptical but eventually believed him. Its a shame I shared pic but than god its decent. I felt a little heartbroken because it did felt nice when we were talking. no money involved, he would message me in the morning and at night , listened..I researched the photos and raqn across all the same photos about scammers. needless to say, it wasnt real. When i confronted him about it, he wouldnt admit it and told me evrything he felt about me was real and true. I felt bad but Im not here to blame him..I would say tho that the fault is mine because i saw all the red flags and decided to pursue the conversation. lesson learned.
