  1. There is a lady who is being scammed right now by someone using these stolen photos. He is telling her that they reactivated him for a special assignment. He is 71 years old, been in Afghanistan for 3 years. recently was in gun fire battle got shot in leg, Army is going to fly him home in private jet, and he will have to quarantine in her home for 14 days. He is going to give her his "Army General Ring" when he gets here Friday. THIS FRIDAY. Whoops, already he has said covid is preventing his leaving just yet. Her son has tried telling her it is a scam. They have given her a phone number telling her it is the United Nations and they are verifying this is all true. This is a HIGHLY technical scammer working this senior lady.

  2. The photos for General William Garrett, is being used again right now to scam an elderly lady. He has contacted and convinced her that he is 71, and the Army reactivated him for a special assignment in Afghanistan. He has been out of country for 3 years. He was recently in a firefight, where he got shot in the leg, but he killed 3 of them. Due to injury, Army is going to fly him home on private jet, and he will have to quarantine for 14 days in her home. He is going to give her his "Army General Ring". when he gets here. However, they are working this she has some phone number and believes it is to the United Nations, and have talked to someone 4 times and is convinced he is legit. and she really is talking to UN. Her son has tried to tell her this is a scam she will not believe anyone.

    4. The one that want you to write to his fictitious daughter issued me with a death threat when i was seriously ill in hospital( brain tumour) because he did not believe I was there.. it was evil. He hope that i works but wake up after having an accident on the way home from hospital. But he wished Would wake up for long enough to realise that I was paralysed. Then he said the drs will hammer to chop your legs off. This was because i said no to give him money

      Delete
    5. And then why not block them so they can't get to you as soon as they ask for money! NO real person needs money. Let them send you texts and they will, a death threat by text is an ignorant kid upset because he is a useless scammer. Just don't give them the satisfaction of contact. THIS is their true nature

  7. He just commented to a post of mine and says he is 68 deployed in Syria and now texts and says he loves me and wants to be with me. What should I do this is not the first time I have had many men like this contact me. What should I do? Should I block him on my phone and Facebook too?

  8. I hate to be the one to tell you but he is talking to you and me at the same time. My husband passed Feb. 01 2021 and about Feb. 12 he sent me a friend request. How stupid of me to except, I never thought a scammer would contact me as I am to smart for this, oh yeah, well I fell for it and fell for him. He told me he is 68, has a son and is in Afghanistan, age doesn't matter, I am 72, lonely and lost without my husband. The scammer promised me a house in Orlando, Fl. A BMW convertible and a vacation in Italy. All I have to do is go along with the UN and except his Portfolio so that he can be released within 48 hrs to come to me to make me his wife. I have the number to the UN and I checked that number it is a landline to a personal phone number that says SCAMMER. The Diplomats name is Michael Gates, that is not true. He told me he killed the leader of ISIS, that is not true either, I read the story and the leader was wearing a loaded vest and blew himself up, committed suicide. So if you think he is coming to be with you and he is telling me the same thing WE better wake up. If you notice he never calls you by name as he has to many women on the line, so it is Honey, My Queen, My priceless Jewelry, My World, My Bride. He takes up my whole day texting me. ScamHatersUnited has told me what to do, so you ask what should you do. DO WHAT I AM GOING TO DO BLOCK HIM AND LISTEN NO MORE. marlow1214@aol.com and I don't care who thinks I am stupid if it can happen to me it can happen to you.

    3. He told me the exact same story. He had Mr contact the diplomat services Mr gates replied. He needed 3100 to send pouch. He got real pissed when I wouldn't do it. He kept saying we had to keep us a secret. I told him I was going to ft Bragg tomorrow. He freaked and told me not to mention him. I feel sorry for the real man. He was very accomplished gave his life to the military. This is sad for all involved. Thank god I didn't do anything stupid. He started setting I shut that down. Be careful ladies. Read the signs to watch for

    4. There is no diplomat and this is the wrong use of a word that is common with scammers.
A diplomat is not someone who delivers anything.. he works only for a country.

      Always be careful

ANYONE that claims to be Military is never real.
They do not do it. Real men do NOT go looking on social media any Military
      it is a scammer from
      West Africa with love words.
NEVER AGREE TO GO TO HANGOUTS,WHATSAPP OR ANY OTHER CHAT APP.
They WILL ask for cards and/ or cash

    5. I think a good start is to make sure the privacy settings on Facebook are changed to friends of friends and remove public. That's how they are finding us. The newest one is Laura the 18 yo daughter with her arm around the general. Skin color does not even match. So many red flags but if something is missing in your life you get sucked in

      Delete
    6. Yes it is always a good thing to keep your settings private.
It is down to not ignoring those red flags

    1. These are scammers from West Africa. Gangs who prey online to vulnerable people.
BLOCK as you said and get well away from them.
I did post your message on our pages to warn others and thank you.

Scammers, most often from Nigeria impersonate military or professional people... woo you with love words and then steal money.
It is a worldwide rather disgusting and inhuman industry for them!

I am so sorry they found you

    4. Not funny at all.. these are liars and thieves. Organised crime, hackers and identity thieves. Not impressive either... ridiculous story..! PLEASE DON'T MAKE A SCAMMER FEEL GOOD BY LETTING IT GO ON. Block it as it deserves and remember the man in the pictures is human and doesn't deserve this

    6. This William Garrett Burke has been texting me for 2 days now. I checked out his profile on FB and found that he has not posted any photos or comments. I have now unfriended him and told him why I did so. He keeps insisting that he is real! I'm glad that I checked him out. Says he is 67 and has a daughter, Laura, who is 18 and he is a widow.

      Delete
    7. IS your scammer telling you the real Burke resigned some years ago ??
Why did you tell him and let it give you the 'am real babe'

It is SO obvious it can't possibly be the real man... Just block Nigerians PLEASE

  10. Was texting me in Hangouts. Thankfully for less than 24 hours. I knew something was wrong with his choice of words. Not American at all. Gen, 17 year old daughter named Laura. I blocked him on Facebook, uninstalled Tik Tok and hangouts. Also deactivated my FB page. Searched his name, and what do you know, my instincts were right.

Says he was stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and lives in Jersey City, New Jersey. Nothing on his FB page except those few photos. My page is not private or blocked.
