ReplyDeleteDo you have a pic or identity of the scammer? I've been "talking to" this Noel Bergman character on and off for abt 10 yrs and was curious...I already knew early on it was an imposter as most of my large family is in the military all the way up to the Pentagon...lol...its sad and interesting at the same time to converse with someone who is compelled so deeply to live vicariously through someone else's life to the extent that this one has-esp for so long..I love to find out what makes people do the things they do and this is no different...its always had me wondering who and why and what gain this person/people in particular gets from doing so...they have never asked for money or anything at all and we have talked far beyond the realm of deep boundaries about everything in the universe and beyond in great detail and for great lengths...its actually shocked me at times the conversations we've had/are still having...
ReplyDeleteThe voicemails I have heard of this particular person have been in both German and English and have actually fit the real mans pics to a "T"...its super sad that this person is so lonely that they felt/feel the need to keep it going for so long and that they actually thank me for being a "steadfast and unwavering and supportive and non judgemental friend" over the years...I was just curious...thanks for all that you do!!
No I don't know the identity of the scammer is often impossible, there are so many thousands of them. May I ask you to consider something though.
DeleteSad.. yes.. Interesting.. how so? All the while you are finding him interesting and chatting about life, day to day activities, possibly current events in the world.. he is learning.. a lot.
Learning enough to make him a better scammer for those what will believe. We know they spend a lot of time on 'research', the best ones. This is research. You are research.
It's only when these people get nobody to talk to that this will lessen. At the moment once their fingers go they have someone to respond. Just imagine a time when they have not got that. Nobody on text, nobody on the phone. Silence.
They can do nothing then. I ask you to re-consider. I can't tell you what to do, I can just tell you what I know about what they do from my side.
