I hope these scammers are caught, and I feel so bad for the actual soldier whose photos are being used.''
I never got anything asked from this guy as Steve Adams but to send gold bars to my home !!!!

Once you have given all your information you are asked to pay.. pay to ship them, pay customs, pay to get them out of customs, pay to bribe the officials.. after losing many thousands of $'s you will never see gold or the man. Think about it.. how heavy are gold bars.. they aren't just sent..
ReplyDeleteI met a "Steve Adams" on a dating website back in May. I did a reverse image search recently and found this post. He supposedly is sending me some of his things through a shipping company called GMX. Has anyone heard of this type of scam?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is one of the most common type of scams there is... getting what he is sending will cost you a lot of money... you pay for shipping, handling, then when it is on it's way there will be problems at customs etc.. of course you will see nothing... and you won't ever see him. When they can get no more money, it will stop.... but it is a hug scam for them.

ReplyDeleteHe did not ask for money or anything yet since we have been talking for less than a week yet. Yes, he seems sincere and everything but if i did not saw this, i would believe him. Not that i would send money or anything. He said he grew up in Brazil and has an accent. Honestly i wonder if the guy in the pictures knows his pictures are stolen.
What do you guys say?
Like this one that has been used a lot, they always know. The worst thing for them is that they are helpless to stop it and this upsets them a lot.

DeleteI got suspicious because the second day we started to talk he said he does not want anyone else, kept messaging me and asking normal questions like how my day way etc... if i was out with friends he would check on me like a normal guy would do. But it had been days so i said, wait a minute this guy is too good to be true, sadly, let me check if he is real or fake and next thing i know, i found this site. Luckily i am not originally blonde :) If you know the real guy in the pictures tell him i am available :) (sarcasm)

DeleteAll the ones that contact you and say Army are fake.. as you know they are not allowed to say where they are deployed.. and yet scammer profiles will tell you where they are !!

DeleteThank you for this post warning people. I got a message tonight from "Steve" on Plenty of Fish. When I saw the picture my gut immediately told me that he wasn't the one actually messaging me. I did a reverse search on his image and that's how I discovered this post.

I met Roy Collins on Tinder back in Dec 2016. He is incredibly convincing and is very good at coming across as very American. He also pays close attention to what you say and follows up by remembering conversation details. He fit the bill of the typical scammer in using Kik and never being able to video chat, etc.
