Very typical scammer profile and story. 

Carl is an International Architect who is seperated from his wife. 

He has two sons (although he will send you a picture of him with a girl) who lives with their mother because he is away so much.
Now, he is 'looking for love'... by contacting as many women as possible and talking to them.

HE STARTS A NEW JOB IN FRANCE NEXT WEEK, HE IS STUCK IN HONG KING THOUGH.. 
HE HAD HIS WALLET STOLEN AND HE DESPERATELY NEEDS £5000 . 

HE HAS NO CARDS AND IS NOW STUCK IN THE HOTEL AND CAN'T PAY THE BILL !!! SEND THE MONEY... **NOW**

(he was out shopping for presents for his son and daughter...remember them, they were two boys a short while ago!)

He will want to bring YOU to him (whoever YOU are and wherever you are)

Of course that will cost you. So BECAUSE A GOOD LOOKING MAN WITH A GOOD JOB CONTACTS YOU, SAYS HE LOVES YOU AND WANTS TO MARRY YOU.... don't be too quick to 'fall in love'.. you will lose your heart and your money. These are scammer tactics.

Scammer profiles are bare bones... nothing on them, couple of pictures only and no family OR friends. Now if this guy was working all over the world..he'd have comments from friends, relaxed pictures.... and much more personal content.

I am not sure that the picture of the two men are either of them the same man as in the other pictures.

These profiles are there to attract women and they WORK.. the demand for the money WILL COME.
