He is now on gmail he said that he is in Afghanistan fighting terror and he needs some help that he has $40 million dollars in unmarked boxes via private courier and that he needs me to pay $285 for delivery and that when he gets back to the States that he will give me whatever percentage of the money that I want. Right away I was doubtful so I Google his name and found you guy's. Thanks also this just happened today if that helps.
I received a friend request from Leoda Tommie (General David) with this profile picture. I could tell it was a fake, just thought I would let you know about the new alias being used.
ReplyDeleteWhere on earth do they come up with these names ! Thank you.. I'll post this one today
ReplyDeleteI just took a friend request from a william nichole with the same pictures, after a few minutes of conversation. I was unable to find any information, after looking closer at the picture i saw the name tag on the military shirt was different, so i checked facebook with the name and was directed to your site.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you checked and I wish everyone would...thank you !
DeleteScammers are evil... be careful because ANYONE that says any military contacting you will be fake. The real Military are not allowed to send out Friend Requests, chat and tell a stranger where they are.
Same pictures using the name william nichole on facebook.
ReplyDeleteThank you..
DeleteMy mum was scammed and he has my partners account details I had to break my mum's heart
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry they did that. If they have bank details or anything like that let the bank know. They will use them. No good saying that it's not used or anything.. because they will use it in fraud and leave you with the debt and problem.
DeleteI'm sorry for your Mum.. but it is best she knows.. pass the word to your friends... let the world know this evil exists. I just wish nobody had to go through this.
I got a friend request from a John Nicholson. I was surprised that neither the profile picture or the homepage photo (of the real general) returned any results from a google image search- but one of the other photos on the fake profile took me to this page (I was trying to find out the name of the real person which turned out to be the same name.)
ReplyDeleteThen I searched Facebook for the name and scattered between many real John Nicholsons, I found many fake profiles with pictures of the general- they have so many pictures they work with!! I even found one profile which was using one of the Scamhaters watermarked photos for the profile picture!!! Many of the profiles were only about two days old- so it seems like they had a profile building party. 42 John Nicholson profiles were reported, Facebook deleted 35 of them. It makes me so mad that they don't have a better system for detecting this type of activity. It's as if they want more FB users at any cost- even if they are scammers.
You are saying what we say every day... there is no good excuse for them to even allow those profiles to be made. They are aiding and abetting fraud !!
DeleteI have changed the way I watermark and trying to stop them using the pictures... but they will always have a go !!
Facebook is so irresposible and never mentioned in mainstream media and press. I want someone rich to sue them and get them to have to pay a lot of money !! It's the only way anything will be done. Can you imagine if everyone actually knew how flawed and broken Facebook is !
The only 'real' ones have a blue circle and tick.. verified accounts. If they don't have that.. they are not real.
DeleteI got a friend request with this profile picture, under the name David J Nicholson
ReplyDeleteThank you.. reported and gone.
DeleteI got a friend request with the same picture, David J Nicholson, from Detroit, Michigan, a general in the U.S. Army Airborne, an aviation engineer
ReplyDeleteIt's now moved to Instagram
ReplyDeleteThere are thousands of scammers use these pictures... it will be different ones.. have you the Instagram username please?

ReplyDeleteThe scam goes that you pay $285. Then when it's on the way it gets stopped in Customs. You get contacted by fake customs and they say you need a special certificate.. it will only cost you.. say $3000... and you can have the box tomorrow.. he will say 'babe, there is $40 million, what's $3000, you can get it tomorrow.. SO WOMEN PAY... SO VERY OFTEN.
DeleteIt does help, thank you.
Hello . So just received a friend request of Zachary Moore Gavin he say is in Afganistán , and he’s asking me to send a letter to this Jhon Williams Nicholson jr, he say this man is his “general “ or “mayor” .. he just want me to send a letter to this person to ask for a petition to return , then he say that after that letter we gonna have to wait what the “general “ says about it , and they gonna ask for some money to pay for this “new replacement solder” .. anyways.. if you can help me to found what is all this .. thank you..!!
ReplyDeletewell. No real soldier is going to contact you.
DeleteNo one can write to the General to ask anything.
The soldier is deployed. There is no such thing as being able to return.
There is no such thing as a replacement soldier.
