He's on Instagram under account name usmcliftbuddy002. Pretending to be Ryan Davis, USMC E5 Sergeant, First Class. Chatted with him for a while. I seemed to be chatting to more than 1 person, one with okay English and one with lousy English. Very quickly moved to Hangouts. Fell completely in love with me after 1 day, ha, ha. Said he was working at Addax in Nigeria.

    3. Did we find the FB profile because it is impossible to tell anything from a name. If they are using these pictures... Gabriel Sampson does not exist.

    1. It may not be the same person even using the same pictures.
if anyone is coming to you saying military they are fake.
The military do not contact women and can't tell you where they are deployed

Also using these pictures is very fake.

    2. Well he isn't using these exact pictures but the name seems to match up, I really don't know why people would do this. So frustrating.

    3. Greed and easy money. Why work when you can sit on your phone /laptop, you can stay home, steal some pictures for free and contact women.. chat and the only effort is the trip to Western Union to collect the money !!!
The easiest, and most obnoxious crime in the world.

Lazy greedy people stealing. That is why they do it.

  5. I was just in a scammed by this guy 06/2020(person using this soldiers photos & identity. The guy (people?) I was talking to went by Martin Sampson, in the USMC. Said he’s stationed at Camp Pendleton & just got news that he’s getting deployed. The real Sampson isn’t stationed there & isn’t getting deployed anytime soon!).

I’ve talked to a family member of the real person behind the photos after finding his real FB. I wanted to verify that I truly wasn’t talking the real Sergeant Sampson. While I was messaging his family member she called him & was giving him the information I gave her. She said he thinks he knows who it is (or who one of them are).. an old roommate. I just hope they find whoever’s doing all of this to this poor guy! His face is being tarnished & disgraced by these predators!

The real Ian Sampson needs his identity back! I’m also a victim of identity theft in a larger way (from what I know.. I don’t know his entire story). I know how it feels & what it’s like to have it take like this.

& then to be on the other side of these romance scams.. SUCKS! He only got $260 out of me. I told him no at his 3rd request for $100.. all within a month. He’s probably done worse to other women!

I think I reported him on one site last night but I never got a confirmation email (I tried on Tinder but couldn’t get it to go through. Kept coming up with excuses about something within the form being wrong. So it couldn’t process it.).. & with what’s been happening to me concerning my entire identity (existence) being “hacked”.. I’m never sure of anything I do.. that’s not in person.. is actually legit anymore. It really does suck to go through something like this.. on both ends!

When I look up the phone # he gave me it said on 5 different sites that it’s located in Gainesville, Tx. But interesting thing.. on Tinder it tells u how many miles are between u & the people u talk to at any given moment. It always said anywhere between 35-40 miles. I’m in Roseville, Ca.

I have screenshots of EVERYTHING photos, conversations, accounts he used with me & ones I found.. & all the information I could dig up on him.

    1. I honestly think it bad to contact after going on a hunt of the family of the real guy. Now he won't 'get his identity back' it is out there being used by scammers now.
I don't need conversation screenshot and about the real guy but anything you want to send please write to scamhatersunited@gmail.com

ANYONE that claims to be Military or Doctor is never real.
They are not allowed to do it and they do not do it.
Every time someone says they are military, it is a scammer from
      West Africa with love words.
They WILL ask for cards and/ or cash
      NEVER SEND.

scammers will never stop whilst they get money this easily

Location is very easy to fake on any site. ! So it is no indication as to where the scammer is
