I've also been contacted by a gentleman claiming to be "John Cowles" US Marine stationed in Akron, OH. I'm always wary of the fact that a) his english is a little poor and b) he proclaims his love for me after like a day. Please.

ReplyDeleteGot another one... Michael Hopkins. Marine, overseas, the whole song and dance. Said he was in Israel but his tinder distance was 7,000 miles so maybe the scammers are outsourcing? Luckily I have been catfished before, and my gut reminded me of that the whole time we talked. I would not be surprised if it was the same person, they want 'to be my friend' Heather Robbins from Barstow, CA. That is not how you make friends.
You are so right and never let them get this far.. just block ! Distances can be manipulated by proxy IP's... it's easy to do!

honestly it's good of you to give all the names but it's not as easy as you think to search and it takes time.
If you can give me the links as above... I can get them removed and it will help a lot.
open the profile in question -
Deletelocate the ... (three dots) in the upper right side of the page -
select Copy Link To Profile -
Then go to the location you are sending the URL profile to -
Hold finger down on screen and wait for the 'paste' option
