HOW TO TALK TO THEM

❤️ Lead with care.

🚫 Don’t accuse or shame.

👂 Listen first.

💬 Keep them talking.

Your goal isn’t to win an argument.
It’s to keep them safe.

Slide 2 — Ask Questions, Don’t Accuse

Instead of “You’re being scammed!” ask:

❓ Have you met in person?

📹 Do you have spontaneous video calls?

✈️ Why do plans to meet keep failing?

💰 Have they asked for money or crypto?

🤫 Have they asked you to keep secrets?

Let the inconsistencies speak for themselves.

Slide 3 — Watch for Red Flags

🚩 Repeated emergencies

🚩 Always an excuse not to meet

🚩 Requests for money, gift cards or crypto

🚩 Wants banking/personal information

🚩 Asks you to receive or move money

🚩 Tries to isolate you from family

🚩 Says, “Nobody understands our relationship.”

One red flag may have an explanation.
Several deserve investigation.

Slide 4 — Try the 72-Hour Pause

Ask your loved one:

“Please send NOTHING for 72 hours while we check this together.”

No money.

No crypto.

No gift cards.

No banking information.

No ID documents.

No packages.

❤️ A genuine relationship can survive verification.

Slide 5 — If Money Was Already Sent

ACT QUICKLY.

🏦 Contact the bank/payment provider.

🛑 Stop additional payments.

🔐 Secure compromised accounts.

📝 Report the scam.

⚠️ Beware of “recovery agents” asking for more money.

Most importantly:

DON’T SAY “I TOLD YOU SO.”

They need support—not shame.
