comment left 09/04....
URGENT - We have had some activity from this scammer that has changed. He now has a resource in the US that he wants women to meet up with and give his friend cash. He is having trouble getting funds wired to banks because some doors have shut down. We are now concerned about who he really is that he has been able to get a resource into the US. PEOPLE - DO NOT MEET UP WITH ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW. DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO SOMEONE YOU HAVE NEVER MET OR YOU DON'T KNOW. YOUR LIFE COULD BE AT RISK IF YOU MEET UP WITH THEM. REPORT THESE TYPE OF REQUEST TO OFFICALS RIGHT WAY. DISCONNECT AND NO LONGER TALK TO THEM. Please contact me if you are not sure what to do.

This guy is still on match.com going by Walter Jones and his handle is Blueocean64 and the email he is using is col.jones64@gmail.com. He has a Google plus account under the name Bowen Talbot Crawford. And he is also on POF with the username wynghf454w

The US Bank account has already been frozen and cut off. They were reported to officials and the that banks fraud division the minute he asked for money to be wired to the account. Yes, he is in Ghana and we know exactly where he operates from. We even have details on what hardware he is using. And yes, Ghana will not do anything about him. He gives money to Ghana officials to leave him alone. This is why they are protected.

This guy is good and speaks perfect English. He will actually call and talk on the phone with his victims now. He is that good. He knows the bible like the back of his hand. He is very convincing.

He will convince his victims to setup new accounts on dating sites for his poor friends so they can find a love like he did. In actuality his victims are setting up more accounts for him to scam more women. We have traced him to over a hundred dating profiles on Match.com, Our Time and a few other just in the last three months. He uses GMAIL and Hang Outs.

He also uses an iPhone sometimes. We have linked him to scams as far back as 2013. He has learned to write passionate and loving. He no longer uses cuts and pastes from a script. He can free hand.

He is smart technically. He knows how to hack his victims. His new ID Austin Jones Anderson, he took that from one of his victims. Austin Anderson was her son's name. He kept the Jones because that is the name on this uniform of the US Commander's profile he is using.

Even though none of the picture posted here show him in uniform, he has shared pictures with other victims with supposedly himself in uniform. Victims... Do not be trapped by him. Disconnect and stay disconnected. If he thinks he can get more out of you he will trace you, connect to you and try and pull you back in to his trap.

This scammer is on all the dating sites. He uses the same story over and over again. It is not ironic that this scammers fake story is so close to the real military person that he pretends to be. My team has been tracking him since 2014. He has gotten smarter and he has studied the person behind the picture he is using. We know for sure he is in Africa. He travels between Ghana, South Africa and Europe. He knows how to move money between banks and other services. He even sets up charity accounts like Little League accounts to move money. When things get hot for him he travels back to Ghana where he is protected. Ghana will not do anything about him. He even has taken on this military offers family ID's (His Children) Do not fall for him. He English is perfect and he makes himself sound very real. Don't let him pull you in. Report him.

So glad I just found this site... been talking to this guy for 3 days. Boy....he can be convincing that he's looking for love. But something just still seemed off about him - I've dated enough online to be extremely cautious. We haven't gotten to the point that he has asked me for money yet. But the red flags have been there.... his wife died 5 years ago, no kids, his parents died a long time ago, no siblings...when you ask him questions about those personal details, he answers vaguely and then changes the subject. He's smooth...but again, listen to those red flags. I met him on Plenty of Fish 3 days ago, he is going by Jason Jones with an email address of blueoceanlove14@gmail.com. He chats with you by using the Hangouts app through gmail.

    Comment 21/03

He uses the same iPhone, but is now feeding through a VIP number out of Texas. He has stopped using Facebook, but now uses Gmail. He often uses the ID James Jones. The pictures he uses are of the same US Army Commander. Over 68 pictures to date, including pictures of his children. This scammer needs to be caught. 2. If he is coming from Ghana.. he will never be caught because the Ghana government are not interested... the only way is to inform the Banks in the US of the accounts he is using and the names that are receiving money for him.

Africa likes it's scammers and their law won't do anything.. the US has banking laws.. ! It's the only way.. get his money cut off. Also... if these accounts are frozen and the money is still in them... there is a (slim) chance it could go back to the women.

      2. What I find very sad is that you have all of this information and yet you can do anything because of the corruption in Ghana. They do not care. Their attitude is that it is the woman's fault for sending the money.
I will add your message to the post and I hope many more see it.
It outlines the evil of scamming.
People assume they are dealing with a little chancer of an African on a laptop and it pains me when people say 'I just play with him until he gets to the money' as if they were cuddly toys.

THEY ARE NOT THEY ARE DANGEROUS CRIMINALS. You wouldn't let the burglar in and give him a cup of tea but throw him out when he picks up the TV with a knife at your throat !! Same goes to scammers.

DO NOT ACCEPT FRIEND REQUESTS FROM STRANGERS. That is not too extreme a thing to say because really, when was the last time one was genuine?

Thanks for this and isn't it sad we aren't dealing with a civilised society that should be disgusted by it's frauds and criminals. Instead they are proud of them.

      4. I agree 100%. As a professional at what I do, I can't stress enough to women and men how DANGEROUS some of these guys are. Most of these young guys work for a big guy with lots of resources and they are bad to the bone. We have even linked some of these guys to gathering funds for ISIS. We found some of these guys are very smart and will track you and hurt you if you don't comply to what they want from you. We now have evidence that they have planted resources in each country including the US and Canada. However, there is something that can be done. I am a top expert in my field. So using what I know and pulling in some other experts we devised a technical solution that can stop about 75% or more of the scams. We believe as we refine the process we can make it almost 99% effective. We tested it on five of the top dating sites. It worked. To get it implemented we need funds to create the program and we need each dating site, Facebook and other places like LinkedIn to use the software. However, the dating site are not in agreement of using the software. Why? Because they would lose revenue that is coming from the scammers. It is going to have to be mandated to them to use it which now become political and could take years. When we where doing our studies on the dating sites, (this is a shocker) 25 out 30 people contacting our profile were scammers. When we ran the facial recognition part of the software against who was logged into the site, over 50% of them logged in were using scammed photos. WOW What is even more shocking is when we asked for the dating site to close down those ID's that were using scammed photo's, especially of military men and women, they would not respond or would not shut them down. I wonder what is wrong with our society. I have to give it to one of the sites. They shut down most all the ones we requested and they are paying attention better and trying to weed out the scammers. Still our best defense is sites like these that educate. I know I had no idea how bad this was until I was pulled into to help. I will not give up trying to stop this.

      5. People do not know the extent until you really go into it. Boko Haram put out a Press Release saying that their 'coffers were full' thanks to 419 and Romance scams.. and all the terrorist groups raise a lot of money this way. Yes.. ISIS do as well. A lot of money is sent via Turkey and even Syria.

Facebook and Dating sites are afraid of losing money. They are short sighted because in the end they will lose all credence and people. There are some sites where I am sure there are more scammers than real people.

Kik... Hangouts, WhatsApp... all flooded with scammers and nothing done.

Facebook will remove some.. but not as many as they should. If you can get them in a few days that is fine. You can report a profile that is the same picture but a few weeks/months old and they see as established and do not remove. Also there are many thousands of blank profiles made just ready for them to fill in and use. These should not be allowed.

There are open groups hosted by Facebook what service the whole fraud industry around scamming. Because it is an industry. https://www.facebook.com/groups/163852427149931/ this is only a small group.. there are bigger and many more.

The world has to wake up and know about scamming. It should be talked about everywhere. It isn't. It is kept a secret that breaks people... not just financially but in spirit.

It is an international disgrace that nothing is done.

I won't give up either.. my effort is a drop in a drop in the ocean I know that... but if I save one person every day.. it has been worth it all.

      2. It is good that you did an image search. Most of the top military men used in these scams will come up with Google Image and point to several scam reporting sites. I encourage every person on dating sites to download the picture and use Google Image to check the photo. However, not all photo's will come up scammed if it has never been reported. So it is key to get all pictures and profiles by scammers documented. This will stop others from being duped.

        Delete
      3. I think it is also important to know that a top military man isn't on social media all day and night collecting women to ask for money ! Scammer profiles come and go and change so often.. BUT IF THEY ARE MILITARY... CONTACTING WOMEN THEY DO NOT KNOW AND SAYING 'I AM IN AFGHANISTAN'.. it doesn't matter the picture.. HE IS FAKE.

      1. This may sounds defeatist.. but you can't 'get him'.
This is Ghana. Scammers in Africa are accepted and are not arrested. The only way you can do anything is to go to your law enforcement and see what they say.
Scamming exists because Africa does nothing and even likes their scammers. They bring money into the country. They say it is the woman's fault in sending the money.. not the criminals fault.
send what you have and we can post him an hopefully warn women..... scamchatfightback@gmail.com

If you used Western Union or any of the money shops then report to them. They need to know the names that are collecting the money and they will block them from doing it again. That hits them.. so please do it.

If you used a bank.. tell your bank what has happened.

Everything online warning against scammers exists because African police and governments do nothing. If they did there wouldn't be anywhere near the scale of the problem.

Get yourself away from him. There is nothing to be gained about staying talking to this African. NOTHING. They hate being blocked and have access cut off to you. In the scam he has been in control.. now you be in control.

They will just create another account.. but we can't not warn and try to do something just because the task is too big. If we warn some, that's good isn't it?

    14. Yes, but we have develop some facial recognition software that has a database of known pictures used by scammers. If the dating sites and other social media would use the software and run photos as accounts are setup then the account would never end up public. They would be shut down before they even get started. Also the database has to grow with photos as new scammers using photos are reported. I believe the only way we can stop this is using technology and our smarts. People have to be unafraid of reporting and the dating sites have to be willing to use the software. The issue is the dating sites are making money off these scammers. Or should I say the women that setup accounts for these scammers. What we found is once they have convinced a woman they are in love with them, they ask them to setup an account for their friend that wants to find the same true love on a dating site. So she does and hands over the account to her scammer. In actuality her new found lover is using the account with a different scammed picture, like this pictures of Mr. Jones. He now has a new account to scam from and he never paid one cent out of his pocket. The dating sites are making a lot of money off these scammers. Some sites are willing to act and others are not. It is all about money. Sad to me.

THIS IS A FRAUD GROUP. It is fraudsters that do their business around scamming. Dating site accounts are regularly offered for sale on this and other similar groups. Facebook will NOT remove this group. It hardly ever removed individual posts we report in the group itself.

Picture recognition has been around a long time... so why isn't it being used? It's old technology now. Where do you ever see anything about scammers on dating sites... yet we know they are infested with them?

It could be easy to do and it's ok them saying oh we remove when they are reported. Some are some are not. In Facebook's case I can't believe a company is so supportive of criminals and fraud. They need to be proactive and not reactive. Yes, it may hit revenues for a while, they will have to admit why they are doing it... but their complete lack of online safety, all social media.. is staggering.

We can report, say 6 Porter. 4 in the last couple of days, 2 last couple of months. Same pictures used.. not all of those 6 will go at all. WHY?

When will dating sites and social media sites even wake up to the fact they have a problem. It's an international virus is that an epidemic. Still nothing is being done... and you are so right. Recognition software. I would love to know why they are not doing it.

    15. This guy is on FB as David Cardinalcooper. He contacted me randomly through FB Messenger on May 22nd. Says he is stationed in Syria on a "peacekeeping mission", is from Round Rock, Texas. His wife died in a car accident 2 years ago. He has 2 children, Ann 6, and Brandon 9. Wants to move to Canada & start a business as an architect, marry me & live happily ever after. Said he sent his boxes of personal belongings to me from "Canispost Logistics" (no such company) with his "friend" Fredrick Hill. Sure enough I received a message that the boxes are being held for inspection & courier needs $1,480.00 to clear this shipment. Riiiiggghhhht. Told him I had no money. Now the conversations are all about me not wanting to help him. I have blocked him.
This guy is good, he even sent me pics of clothes he bought me...he is sweet & romantic, but has terrible grammar. His reason for his bad English is that he is from Sweden. When I asked him where in Sweden, more than once, he avoided the question. I guess the scammers in Ghana don't know much about Sweden.
What I don't understand is how he can have a FB profile with 35 friends on it. I have messaged every one of them & told them he is a scammer. I am also reporting him to every romance scam site I can find. He does not know that I know he is a scammer, unless one of his FB "friends" tells him I messaged them.

2. Please be careful with Jamesjones@gmail.com. As our Scam Hater expert has told you if you don't need hangouts get rid of it. The guy using James Jones typically does not use Facebook. I have been tracking him for over two years. He has been using this mans face for over four years, because women are attracted to the face. Never track them. I am a professional and it is my job. The scum that is using these pictures and goes by James Jones has been tracked to South Africa. He is protected, but he also has passports and has traveled to several countries in the last few years. He is dangerous and very cocky. He is savvy and is one of the best of the romance scammers. We clocked him as scamming well over 1/2 a million dollars in the last four years. We have been able to shut down some of his accounts. The new game in the last year is the scammers find a U.S. person to be a money mule for them. They find a woman that they chat with for months, they convince her to use her checking account to move money in and out for them. If you become a money mule for any of these scammers you are the one going to jail. Not him. I just ended up having to shut down a very nice woman that was a nurse. She was moving money for him. She did not believe he was a bad guy. We were able to get $5K back out of her account and back to another woman that had wired the money. However, another woman that wired $3K was not so lucky. The nurse ran with the money and got it moved to his account before we could stop it. The woman moving the money for him is now being prosecuted because she moved more that $100K in the last year for this guy. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. Pay attention to our Scam Haters expert and keep reporting what you can. The best we can do is stop communicating with them and shut down accounts they are using.

        Delete
      3. I have been dismayed and pretty disgusted at the legion of money mules ready to do this. Ok.. some just think that they are doing their 'lover' a favour.. but the amount of women (and men) who do this for around $200 per transaction is terrible. I have one woman I talked to the other day and she was moving amounts of $900 around 5 times a day plus making fake bank accounts.. at first she was being 'innocent' as the conversation went on it was obvious she was enjoying the 'gifts' she was enjoying from this. Although she promised to stop.. she has added many more fakes to her IG account !! All names she previously was mule for.
They know what they are doing and it's sickening. I hope law enforcement does something on these women who know what they are doing and gaining from it.

Some are just too trusting and get hurt badly.

Thank you... Report and block !!

    40. This scammer with Name robert Jones gave me this description at the begin:
I was born of a father from Italy and an English mother. I have been in a few countries on every continent, although some were during my childhood, so I have very vague memories. I lived in Italy until I was 5 years old ... The family moved to Fulham for years and then to Miami ... Later I moved to Montana, which is my current home, but I go to Lancaster sometimes to refresh my mind and the body. I am in Syria now on a serious peacekeeping mission. At most, few more months and I am done with my mission here ... I must say that I am happy to be one of the 30 soldiers selected by the UN for this mission ... The UN made the search for the best 30 soldiers that fit its standard for this mission. Turns out I'm one of the men who meet this standard. Then we met in the country of then-former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Ghana, in West Africa. This is where we conduct pre-mission training and training. After that, we came to South Korea for the mission ... I am the only son of my father. My father divorced my mother when I was only 13 years old.He died after 8 months when he got divorced with my mother. So my mother took good care of me. Later my mother also passed away when I was 23, so I went to stay with a friend of my father in Spain, I was a good man for me, so he was the one who helped me join the army. I am a Sargent E-7 SSG in charge of logistics.
well about my family I come from a very small unit Of Family My Mother, Father and I, which unfortunately all my parents are now deceased.
do believe in God with all my heart. But due to the nature of my job, I'm not able to attend church. I believe do not need to be present in the Church always for God to bless me. I pray a lot for him because he is the one I believe and go to when things not turning themselves around. I was raised a Catholic. My mom was a Teacher and she spent more of her time to make us understands the Bible. My dad was the head team of the EMT in the Army Field.
He told me also that 6 years ago he lost his wife and his unborn son during the birth from his son.
The boy at the pic is not his son but the son of one of his best friends.

An other fairytale he wrote me by email:

Hi, babe, this is a secret I need to tell you and I would like you to keep it confidential. over this period I have grown to love you and I believe I can trust you and I want you to keep this secret between us only, well we went on the mission 3 months ago and we got to this uncompleted building,we went in there to search around where my troops and I discovered 163 trunk boxes buried,so we brought all out opened the trunk boxes, you can’t believe the content of the boxes babe, lot of Gold bars, gold jewelries and ammunition was found in the trunk of boxes,

We took them and search round the building but could not find more, I took it to the Army's General office for the UN government to be aware of it and it was counted where they disclosed the 163 trunks contains 380 Gold bars, jewelries and different types of ammunition.
They thanked and awarded us with 6 trunks for our loyalty and good work we are doing for the nation,i shared among my other troops and my portion was 2 trunks which contains 30 bars of gold with some few jewelries we discovered, and told me they were going to use the rest for the development of some infrastructural facilities that has been damaged due to the war.
I kept it at the government house for safety purpose pending when I would leave permanently.I was so surprise and worried when I heard the Government Warehouse was attacked and that is where we have deposited the boxes for safety but luckily for us the security intervened.

Babe I want to bring this gold with me, I want us to be able to use this for many things and also invest in many other businesses. I promise to open a jewelry shop for you and keep you busy.
He told me that he will fly out from Syria with all his gold in the luggage first to Dubai because there the toll control at the airport is not so hard. Then he will fly from Dubai to Europe.
Also this story is a big lie. because Dubai has a strong toll control system.

So dont believe nothing waht he will tell you
      because ROBERT JONES
      is still a big scammer.

    42. Report him.

He contacted me on 07/24/2018. was unmasked for me, when I surprised him to not have more photos and have many tanned African friends in the profile photo, on 07/27/2018. Yes, I was quick, I put your profile picture in google images and I found this site. I confronted him and blocked him. Women, analyze well who gets close to you. I only just spoke to this guy today 12.12.2018 declaring "he is mine formever" "he loves me so much" "he can't wait to be with me for Christmas." 52. This guy is now trolling on Instagram under the name of Jones Hank. Thankfully I realized something wasn't right before anything major happened. Says he's in the Army in Syria, has a four year old son who is in London with his nanny because his wife was killed in a car accident. Luckily I didn't believe his sweet talk and did a little research of my own and found this. He is also on Hangout too. Do people be aware, he's back.

    56. Er hat mich über fitbit als Col. Richard C. Jones angeschrieben. Was er mir natürlich zurückzahlt. Hahaha....
Ich bin noch in Kontakt mit ihm. Sein fitbit Account hat er heute gelöscht. WhatsApp ist er noch. Seine Tel. Nr. dort +1 (336) 645-2510.
Er ist wirklich sehr überzeugend, also Vorsicht!!!

      1. Sorry, here in english:
He wrote to me at fitbit under the name of Col. Richard Jones. I was so stupid and gave him my mobile number and we wrote on WhatsApp for two weeks. Until the request for money came.
He said he's from south Carolina, be a widower, his wife died in a car crash, his two children were in a boarding school. He has no other family, because he grew up as an orphan.
He could retire in less than three months. He himself is in Iraq, must now go on a special mission to Syria and is afraid to die. But he could retire earlier, if I - because he doesn't have access to his money in the U.S. in Iraq - pay a kind of replacement. Which he will pay back of course. Hahaha...
I have still contact with him. His fitbit account is deleted. His phone number in WhatsApp is +1 (336) 645-2510.
He is really very convincing, so be careful.
PS: Since he became very offensive and warned me, I have blocked him everywhere.
