I am Mattias Frenne, a Swedish man living in Sweden.
Scammers are stealing my face to create fake Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and dating profiles. They talk to women, move the conversation to WhatsApp, build trust with sweet talk, and later ask for money—often with a staged story like an accident or emergency.
That is NOT me.
My only official accounts are:
• Instagram: @mattef72 (Meta Verified)
• Facebook: Mattias Frenne (Meta Verified)
•. Instagram: @frennefoto
If you see someone using my photos but not this exact username/name, or even with my name but not meta verified, then it’s a fake account.
How to protect yourself
• Don’t trust the profile photo—do a reverse image search on it.
• Be careful if they rush you to WhatsApp or want secrecy.
• Ask specific personal questions about their life, work, and city.
• Don’t rely only on video calls—AI can fake them now.
• Ask them to turn their head far left/right or up/down.
• Ask them to wave a hand in front of their face.
• Look for glitches, flickering, or weird edges.
• If they’re nearby, try to meet in person. Real people can eventually meet.
I report fake accounts every week, but Meta sometimes won’t remove them. That’s why you need to protect yourself.
Trust proof, not pictures.
Verify the person, not the profile.
If you’re being contacted by someone using my photos, please:
1. Stop sending money or personal information
2. Report the account to Instagram/Facebook
3. Message me on my official Instagram @mattef72 so I can help you confirm
