πŸ™TAKE CARE ONLINE... TAKE BETTER CARE ONLINE !

🦹Scammer accounts often engage in tactics like liking a page to appear legitimate, then sending friend or follow requests to users who interact with that page. πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§‍πŸ‘¦They will use the profile pictures of more ordinary person and make vague, quite bland fake profiles with ordinary sounding names. They will then LIKE or Follow pages, very much like all of ScamHaters United pages, they will go on to the page and send out Friend / Follow requests to the ones they see on there. Two reasons... victim harvesting for scammer gangs. Contacting them from the fake account saying something like,. they can get money back, had anyone been scammed ! Hidden Recovery Scammers. πŸ‘‰This is a common social engineering strategy to build trust and target real people for scams, such as phishing, fake giveaways, or fraudulent schemes. They exploit the visibility of page interactions to identify potential victims. 🦹Fake accounts will be made from former victims who have sent their pictures to the person they were talking to, also added in their kids, grandkids and pets! So if you get a Friend or Follow request... don't accept. If you get a message, don't engage. πŸ‘‰Keep the rules of your online life, like the rules to your own home. If someone knocked at your door and asked to come in... have pictures of your family and to be 'your new best friend'. ✋To protect yourself: Verify the account’s authenticity (e.g., check profile age, activity, and mutual connections, as much as you can). Avoid accepting requests from unknown accounts. . πŸ‘‰Be cautious of unsolicited messages or offers, especially those asking for personal information or money. Report and block suspicious accounts.
