Scammers are hunting on Instagram in this Oil Rig scam.. with a bit of a twist.
“Felix” who worked on an oil platform near Türkiye.

With the excuse of poor communication and lack of telephone and data network, they ask for Steam cards, to “be able to communicate.”

FAKE VIDEO CALLS ARE TRIED... YOU GET TO SEE HIM MOVE, BUT OH! YOU JUST CAN'T MANAGE TO HAVE A NICE CHAT.

They ask for more money to arrange the trip to Spain, making a payment of €600 via Money Transfer.

THE STEAM CARDS ARE REGULARLY ASKED FOR. ….


THEN ON THE OIL RIG THEY FIND A BOX OF GOLD BARS (🤪🤣)

After Instagram, the conversation continued on Whatsapp, and on Google Chat
