Today he is Max from NC on POF.
I haven't even bothered to reply to him yet, I screen grabbed his photos and did a web search, that's when I found this thread.
These people make me laugh.
I matched with the same set of photos 3 days in a row last week, all different names and locations. I reported each one. I never found the true identy online, but, luckily,I prevented him/them from scamming some lonely souls.

Look carefully.. playing a video isn't the same as a video chat. On a normal video chat it is clear. You can ask them a question and they answer, the mouth moves with the words. They way they do it like this is they play you a video, say it's a bad connection and because you see the man in the video you think it's him. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE.
