Also use as David Christopher at VK, a US military deployed at Cyprus. Asked me to received money tranafer and also reveived cash in briefcase, both i rejected. I have checked his phone number found that it was an Ohio number.I believes this is a money laundering attempt.

ANSWER

The telephone numbers can be bought. They can come up to you as the number bought and they can be dialled from anywhere in the world. Overseas call centres use them to sell you things, scammers love them. They are usually called Forwarding numbers.

The money transfer will be real and yes, that is money laundering, never give your Bank Details, they will use them. The briefcase is a very old scam. There is no briefcase.. just you being hounded for money for shipping... for when it gets stuck in customs... thousands of dollars later.. and there is no briefcase ! There never was one.
