''My name is Andrey, I am based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
I have been in contact with a person named Helen Crystal for almost 3
years now. She claims to be based in LA, California.
She was the first to hit me up on Instagram back in August 2020 during
the lockdown, and we started chatting. I knew nothing about romance
scamming back then. I also had been very lonely and vulnerable after
my divorce, so our chats got very friendly and personal. In less than
one month after the start she was very quick to tell me she loves me.
I was happy to hear that from a young lady since I had not heard
anything like that for months. I guess this is when she started
getting me hooked, although I was totally unsuspecting back then.
Our chats grew more and more heartfelt and intimate and we even ended
up sex chatting. Then she started asking me for money from time to
time. For small amounts such as $50 or $100 for food etc. I was happy
to help her sometimes. She asked me to send her money by using gift
cards as well as PayPal. For some reason she asked me to send money to
her friend’s PayPal account. This was strange so I asked her why. She
explained she had had some issue with hers so it would be faster to
use the one of her friend.
Anyway, I was very pleased yet surprised by the fact our relationship
was evolving so fast. I don’t know why but one day I decided to do
Google search of her name “Helen Crystal” and was shocked to see lots
of her pictures were used on a huge number of online resources and she
was tagged as a porn star on many of them. I addressed this issue to
her immediately. She confessed right away. She said she had been a
porn star but she had to quit for a number of reasons and had nothing
to do with porn any more. She also said she deeply regretted having to
hide that fact from me and that she was thinking about opening up to
me somehow.
Needless to say I was devastated. As I said I hadn’t known anything of
romance scamming. Meanwhile she kept telling me she would never meant
to hurt me, that she loved me so much and she would do the best she
could to deserve my love. She sounded so convincing that I decided to
give her another chance. Our chats got back to normal and we even
started planning her visit to Ukraine. We failed to make it happen
back in December 2021. This is when I sent her several hundreds of
dollars for her preparations but due to the Christmas congestion at
the airports and staff-related problems airlines were experiencing due
to COVID, our plans were cancelled. She never refunded me, although
she said she would.
Later in 2022 I got to know about Reverse Google Image search. I
checked some of her pics I had and revealed that she had a different
account on Instagram named Lindsay Rhoades.
This happened just when we were trying to plan her visit to Ukraine
again and I sent her $1000 for booking air travel tickets. She took
some time to get back to me with news about ticket. And when she did
she sent me a PDF document resembling an air travel ticket but it
turned out to be a fake. I asked her WTF. She sounded very surprised
and said she was shocked by the fact the ticket was a fake about to
pass out and started crying and admitted sending my money to some
people she knew online who had promised her to help with the ticket
booking. As she put it, they sent her that “ticket” after receiving
all the money from her. She kept on “crying” and telling me sob
stories about how upset and depressed she was because of what
happened, and that she had to drown her depression in alcohol.
At the same time I found out Lindsay Rhoades had been hanging out and
traveling with a guy named Jeff and this caused a lot of arguments and
fights between us. She was very manipulative and managed to convince
me that all pictures with that guy were nothing but a “publicity
stunt”.
Then she came up with stories about ulcer surgery and later with
urgent appendicitis surgery and I was trusting enough to send her
money for that. I can’t believe now how easily she was manipulating
me, but she seems to know how to do it. Just the other day she came up
with a new story. She told me she would sell her dad’s old apartment
to refund me all the money I sent her before. For that she needed some
$400 to arrange some documentation for the sale.
Now that I have reached the point where my denial makes no sense even
to me, I want other people to know about her and avoid being scammed
whenever someone uses these pictures.

🤔ALWAYS SEARCH ON IMAGES.. FACECHECK ID is good, Yandex and TinEye and Pimeyes but this one is not free. But plenty to free search... USE IT
