I have found several scammers on my own by paying for phone and photo apps. What are the dating sites doing to prevent this and vet clients? If nothing, where to we apply pressure?
ReplyDeleteScammers are not so hard to spot when you know what they say/jobs they say/way they talk. This has been going on for 20 years and getting worse. Dating sites could and should do more, they don't.
DeleteIf you are in the USA please see Section 230. A law which says if you provide a platform for people to go on, then the platform provider is not liable for what it posted there.
Many dating sites do vet clients. But clever photoshopping and AI can get around it.
Dating sites need to do more warnings. Better verification.
Where do we apply pressure? The dating sites and the US Government.
