God Should Never Be Used in Lies and Fraud

Then use of GOD and religion by Romance Scammers in Romance Fraud.. a crime that needs trust and good character to take the Scam along.

✝️Scammers often exploit religion in romance fraud to build trust and manipulate victims. They may pose as devout individuals, sharing similar religious values to create a false sense of connection.
Tactics include:
✝️Faking Religious Identity: Scammers claim to be part of a specific faith, using religious language, prayers, or scriptures to appear genuine. They know scripture (we can all Google). They use phrases like 'Blessings to you and your family'.
✝️For example, they might reference Bible verses or claim to be active in a church to appeal to Christian victims. They may ask on a Sunday.. have you been to Church today? and tell you they have.
πŸ’Targeting Religious Communities: They infiltrate religious dating sites, church groups, or social media communities, knowing members may be more trusting of those claiming shared beliefs. You see someone on Christian Dating or similar and you don't wonder if it is fake, you think he/she must a a good person.
πŸ’žEmotional Manipulation: Scammers weave sob stories (e.g., needing money for a "an orphanage home" or medical emergency) pressuring victims to help as an act of faith. Maybe as part of being away they have 'served' in some local Christian project.
πŸ’žGrooming Through Shared Values: They mirror the victim’s beliefs, discussing spiritual goals or family values to deepen the emotional bond before requesting funds. They will ask you about your faith. The more you discuss your belief in God they more they are learning about what to say to you to increase trust.
✝️One of the worst things to hear is that victim and scammer prayed together. Sometimes when they are in a 'dangerous position' or indeed, some have actually prayed together every night.
πŸ›œPosts on social media have highlighted cases where scammers, often from regions like Nigeria, use Christian dating platforms to target vulnerable women, promising marriage while draining their savings. Planning and talking about their forthcoming wedding. How they are looking for a 'godfearing' wife/husband. In many cases how God had brought them together by fate.
The FBI’s 2023 Internet Crime Report noted romance scams cost victims $652 million, with religious scams being a notable subset.
Scammers do many 'LOW' acts. Not least of which is showing sick children and asking for prayers for their recovery and money in the same breath.
Ok Photoshopping pictures and making AI videos but the use of GOD.... is courting evil.
To protect yourself:
Verify identities through video calls or in-person meetings.
Be skeptical of urgent financial requests, especially tied to religious causes.
